Sleepily Dispirited Haiku

Warm morning waking
Slowly like the removal
Of sleep by blinking

The hours before
Eight don’t matter, temporal
Inequality

This poet shuns work
early, late, mid-afternoon;
Really anytime

An economy
Of words: easily achieved
when lacking élan

About andrewwhiting

A sentimental and sarcastic poet, lover of language, traveling and nature (not a fan of the Oxford comma).
