Rasta Mittens

My poor Mittens, yeah she’s got a cold
Went inside so now she’s outside to pee
A lot of her fur and fat fell off
Literally and figuratively, respectively

Because it’s so hot in summer
Fur clumped and fell out, hasn’t grown back yet
Because she’s too fluffy and it was too humid
She didn’t shed, she only got dreads

“…Went inside so now she’s outside to pee?” I’m confused. Did she pee inside? If so, it took me like five stupid times reading that to figure it out. If not, I’m still lost I guess. :P

LOL. I swear I had this image of her going INTO the house. I even imagined a little kitty door.

Poor Mittens… Is she really balding? :(
Maybe she needs to be shaved to fix he dreads? Although, Rasta Mittens sounds pretty cool…

    • She’s doing fine. I think what it was that her last winter/spring coat didn’t fall out right over the summer, so she had all those little knots in her fur. I didn’t think they kept her very warm and I didn’t like them, so I pulled all the tufts of fur out (there weren’t all that many, pretty clumpy, pretty dreadsy mahn), and since then a lot of new fur has grown in really fast. She moped around with a cold because she was too stupid to eat, but I kept her in the garage next to some food for a day and sure enough she was running around the next day. I’m sorry for my syntax, by the way, I’m reading it and it sounds a lot like Ferdinand of The Collector, embarrassingly because I just finished it last week.

Make sure she eats. And she sounds as if she looks like a cat we found once. We called her Shitty Kitty, because she looked like shit. She was a persian or persian mix and someone had shaved off parts of her fur where it had matted so badly, the fur grew back weird, and never looked right again. She had a pathetic meow that sounded like gravel in her throat. People were scared of her, she looked so otherwordly.

    • Oh yeah, she’s been eating plenty. She kicked Inky off the food the other day and just started chomping down. She’s also doing much better with Chester, so she’s been inside a lot more, which is good, because I’m not letting her stay outside whenever it’s chilly anymore.
